The increasing willingness of students to openly acknowledge the problems associated with the SILS website and the growing enthusiasm for addressing the related issues has SSS feeling a little optimistic as we begin another semester (Thank you, Jessica).
Do you think Tula will work with students this semester to improve the Pratt SILS site or will she dig in and continue refusing to communicate with students and address this issue?

Given the dean’s past behavior, one is not hopeful that she will be more willing to address student concerns. She tends to like to control things as much as possible.
But perhaps things will change for the better.
While I hope someone does write something in Keyword, it will have no effect except that the dean will be more determined to punish anyone who disagrees with her. I hope she leaves anyone alone who writes about the site, but I doubt that. When she first saw this site, she thought SILSSA was behind it just because there was a link to SILSSA’s site. We don’t need anyone this technologically backward in charge of the SILS site. It’s stuck in 1995.
Hi, I’m currently looking into the library science program at Pratt, and I’m wondering if you could give me some guidance. Is the program good? What are the strengths and weaknesses. Who are the best faculty. Thanks for your input.
Jonathan
the quality of instruction varies. Too bad you do not have access to the evaluations of faculty that should be available. There are some student evaluations in sites like “rate my professor.com” Don’t expect support from SILS administration and be prepared to deal with problems with registration, paying bills, etc. The entire Institute has basic administrative problems that can eat up a great deal of your time and cause stress
